InterContinental Riyadh & InterContinental Dar Al Hijrah Madinah Hotels upgrades to the next generation of Sky Horizon QMS

Sky Software has recently upgraded its Horizon QMS desktop legacy edition to the latest Horizon QMS guest services web-based platform at InterContinental Riyadh & InterContinental Dar Al Hijrah Madinah Hotels, providing each hotel with a set of rich features and interfaces, plus a dynamic structure of administrative units, centralized multi-property management, advanced user roles and escalation management and enhanced report writer capabilities with MySQL Database support (in addition to the current Microsoft SQL Server), which allowed for an efficient, automatic and instant control over all guest related requests.

The projects also included activating Mass web based SMS and notifications interface, which allows the management and agents to be instantly informed of the request status via live notifications and escalations. Whereas Sky Horizon Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) was implemented, enabling the users to assign, finish or cancel work requests by dialing the IVR number and follow its standard voice guided steps, in addition to Opera Interface, which allowed importing guest info and events such as check in/out.

In specific, the hotels have highly benefited from the new feature which automates the job movements, such as assigning the order automatically with agent load balancing to insure that all agents has the same amount of job orders assigned to them, and automatic extension of work order which better applies the hotels standard and gives better statistics and analysis and the rescheduling of orders that cannot be completed while guest in-house as the system will automatically pick up the guest check out and activate the work order all this was available through a set of pre-defined rules to match the quality standards in the hotels. They have also benefited from usage of the mobile app and its notification.
