New Feature: Flexible Overtime Pre-Approval & Post-Approval

We’re excited to introduce our new Overtime Pre-Approval and Post-Request workflow, designed to give managers more flexibility and finance teams better cost visibility — all with smart automation behind the scenes.

What’s new?

Managers can now request overtime in a single, unified flow that supports all real-world scenarios:

  • Single employee or entire team
  • One specific day, selected days, or a full month
  • Custom overtime hours per day
  • Pre-approval (before work) or post-approval (after work) requests

Smarter approvals, more control

Approvers can:

  • Approve fully or partially
  • Adjust the approved hours quantity
  • Approve only what’s justified — no need to reject the entire request

Once approved, the system automatically splits the request into employee-level sub-requests, each routed according to the employee’s approval cycle and policy — no manual follow-up needed.

Real-time cost forecasting

Before approval, approvers can see:

  • Forecasted overtime cost
  • Clear breakdown of what will be paid immediately versus accrued based on payroll rules

This ensures better budgeting, transparency, and no surprises at payroll time.
