Sky Academy Round 3: Support engineer skills

Sky Academy is an online internship program by Sky Software, designed to equip aspiring support engineers with essential technical and soft skills needed in the real-world IT environment. In its third round, the academy focuses on building a solid foundation in key technical areas relevant to Sky Software’s products and support ecosystem.
Through five interactive and practical sessions, participants will gain hands-on experience in:
Understanding Sky Software’s mission, products (like Bayan HRMS, Jana, and Sky Horizon), and the vital role of the support team.


Learning SQL basics to query and troubleshoot data in real scenarios.
Exploring IIS and how it powers Sky’s web applications.
Building knowledge in CompTIA IT fundamentals, including networking, DNS, and system troubleshooting.
Practicing essential soft skills like email etiquette, customer communication, and incident handling.


Each session includes guided learning, live discussions, self-paced resources from Pluralsight, and engaging activities to ensure learning retention and practical application.
The program concludes with a technical assessment covering SQL, IIS, and IT basics to evaluate participants’ readiness, with a passing score of 75%.
